Job Summary

As a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate technologist to join our team and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct a variety of computed tomography procedures, including assisting radiologists with biopsies, cardiac CT, CT Angiograms, and post-processing.
  • Maintain constant attention to patients assigned to the technologist for examination.
  • Select proper protocol and technical factors, positioning devices and study-specific equipment.
  • Produce computed tomography scans for diagnostic interpretation.
  • Provide protection in accordance with prescribed radiation safety standards to ensure the wellbeing of patients, hospital personnel, general public and self while performing any duties.
  • Identify and archive patient's images.
  • Maintain records of exams.
  • Responsible for proper identification on images, including both identification and demographic information.
  • Document all related data.
  • Maintain appropriate records of examinations and CT procedure log.
  • Identify, process, transfer and archive patient exams including exam records, images and patient demographics.
  • Maintain the integrity and security of the radiology information systems.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma / GED Required
  • Technical Diploma Radiology Required
  • At least two (2) years of work experience and/or trained in a CHOP affiliated program Required
  • Pediatric Experience Preferred
  • Computed Tomography (CT) - via either the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) - upon hire - Required
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - issued through on organization that requires a hands-on instructor lead psychomotor skills verification (ex. American Heart Association or Red Cross). - upon hire - Required
