Surgical Technologist

Job Summary:

As a Surgical Technologist at Kaleida Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare and maintain a sterile field and instruments for surgical cases, working closely with our nursing team to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain a sterile field and instruments for surgical cases

• Count and verify surgical instruments and supplies according to policy

• Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing education and professional development

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health system policies and procedures

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required upon hire

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire

• Completion of a Nationally Accredited Surgical Technology Program or Military Surgical Technology Program required upon hire
