Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Mid-Columbia Pet Emergency Services. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our emergency veterinary services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with patient care and procedures
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the veterinary team
- Administer medications and perform routine medical tasks
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and their pets
Requirements:
- High school diploma and 1+ years of clinical experience in the veterinary industry
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with staff and clients
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses and other position-related tasks
