About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles, California.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Speech Language Pathologist to provide direct patient care to members with communication and swallowing disorders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in evaluating, diagnosing, developing, and implementing therapy/treatment programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients' communication and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and assessments.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech and language impairments, voice problems, and swallowing difficulties.
  • Provide direct patient care services, including speech therapy sessions, counseling, and education.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, occupational therapists, and physical therapists, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient progress, including test results, treatment plans, and outcome measures.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and evidence-based interventions in speech-language pathology.

Requirements:

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • A minimum of one year of clinical experience in speech-language pathology.
  • A current license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in California.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements related to speech-language pathology services.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with adult and pediatric populations, including those with neurological disorders, cleft palate, and aphasia.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
