Dedicated Home Health Nurse with Weekend Flexibility

Amedisys Inc. is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our home health team on a weekend schedule, with one weekday commitment.

SalaryThe estimated salary range for this role is $80,000 - $92,000 per year, reflecting the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets.
Job DescriptionAs a Registered Nurse on our home health team, you will be responsible for:
- Performing patient assessments and collaborating with the care team to develop and implement a plan of care
- Making referrals to other disciplines as indicated by the patient's identified needs or documenting rationale for not doing so
- Promoting patient health and independence through teaching and appropriate rehabilitative measures, assisting patients in learning appropriate self-care techniques
- Supervising LPNs and HHAs
- Completing documentation timely and accurately
- Regularly communicating patient progress to the clinical manager and care team
- Planning and providing staff education
- Performing on-call responsibilities and on-call services to patients/families as assigned
- Participating in clinical development and continuing education programs
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- One (1+) year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- If less than 1 year clinical experience as a RN, candidate must be approved by VP Clinical
- Current RN license, specific to the state(s) you are assigned to work
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance
