Job Summary

This role plays a vital part in supporting the Registered Nurse through observing and documenting patient conditions. Working under close supervision, this role assists with patient support through progressive mobility and assistance with daily tasks as needed.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting patients with daily living tasks, including meals, personal care, and progressive mobility in order to support the recovery and plan of care;
  • Assessing patients' quality of life related to nutrition, hydration, and elimination in order to distribute resources and anticipate patient needs;
  • Admitting, transferring, and discharging patients in order to move them to the appropriate locations in line with the plan of care;
  • Assisting with clinical procedures, including monitoring blood glucose, recording vital signs, obtaining EKG's, applying restraints, and attending to elimination needs to provide comfortable care for patients;
  • Maintaining unit inventories of supplies and medical equipment in order to ensure a clean and safe environment in adherence to the National Patient Safety Goals;
  • Checking that fall-risk patients have the appropriate arm bands, socks, and signage to ensure physical safety;
  • Documenting all clinical procedures, patient interactions, and medication use to maintain a detailed patient history;
  • Responding promptly to delegation from registered nurse staff and sharing patient observations to ensure efficient collaboration;
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent;
  • No prior experience is required, but certification as a Nurse Aide in the State of North Carolina is necessary;
  • BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider certification.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $38,000-$45,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
