Equipment Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for performing highly skilled diagnostic, inspections, and mechanical repairs of electrical, electronic, and/or hydraulic systems on a wide variety of automotive/heavy construction equipment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for problem-solving and diagnosing, and will be part of an elite team working on a variety of automotive and medium/heavy duty construction equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair gasoline and diesel powered internal combustion engines.
- Inspect a wide variety of automotive and/or heavy construction equipment in accordance with safety/scheduled preventative maintenance checklists.
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, engines, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, tractors, welding machines, paint stripers, arrow boards, paint pumps and guns, rollers, trenchers, and weed sprayers.
- Operate vehicles and/or equipment requiring a commercial driver's license. Road test equipment after repair and maintenance has been completed and maintain daily records.
- Fabricate and modification of equipment, drive shop truck to various job sites to perform repairs.
Requirements:
- Three years of journey level experience diagnosing and repairing a variety of Light/Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks and/or Construction Equipment.
- Automotive Service of Excellence (ASE) Master Certification in Medium-Heavy Duty Truck preferred but not required.
- Possession of a valid Class B CDL or the ability to obtain a Class B CDL within six months of employment.
- EPA Section 609 Certification or the ability to obtain the certification within six months of employment.
