Role Overview

Bristol Hospital Multi-Specialty Group seeks a skilled Diagnostics Imaging Professional to join our team. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality imaging services, working collaboratively with medical providers, and ensuring seamless patient experiences. Your expertise in radiologic exams, radiation safety, and communication skills will make you an invaluable asset to our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Support: Assist medical providers with clinical activities, maintain accurate patient records, and provide cross-coverage as needed.
  • Radiologic Exams: Perform various duties related to radiologic examinations, including positioning patients, adjusting equipment, and processing films.
  • Radiation Safety: Maintain radiation exposure levels, adjust X-ray equipment, arrange shielding devices, and protect visitors from unnecessary radiation exposures.
  • Patient Care: Provide patient data and materials, collect urine and blood samples, and perform simple lab tests according to policies and procedures.
  • Communication: Explain procedures to patients, give preparatory instructions, and refer defective or inoperable equipment for repairs.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A High School Graduate degree and graduation from a two-year accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
  • A State/Federal Mandated Licensure or Certification in Radiology State Licensure is required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in electrocardiographic testing, ability to take vital signs, knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
Work Environment

You will work in a medical office setting with direct exposure to patients, body fluids, possible exposure to blood-borne pathogens, high volume of telephone and personal contact with customers, and radiation exposure.

Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $ $65,000 - $85,000, depending on qualifications and experience. This figure is based on national averages for similar positions in the United States.
