Stone Mason

Gallegos Corporation is seeking a skilled Masonry Stone Craftsman to join our team in Vail, CO.

Job Summary:

• As a Masonry Stone Craftsman, you will be responsible for working with stone to complete custom projects with exceptional quality and attention to detail.
• You will need to have above-average skill and speed in laying stone, as well as the ability to work safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Stone Preparation: Shape stone in preparation for final setting using chisels and/or power saws.
2. Stone Alignment: Align stone with plumbline and finish joints with pointing trowel.
3. Masonry Installation: Fasten or fuse brick or other building material to structure with wire clamps, anchor holes, torch, or cement.
4. Mortar Application: Mix and spread mortar over stone and foundation with trowel and set masonry in place by hand or with aid of a forklift or crane.
5. Job Site Safety: Participate in daily huddles and prioritize safety on all job sites.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of construction or masonry experience.
