Electrical Engineer Intern

At MTS Systems, we are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineering Intern to join our Ground Road Vehicle team for the summer of 2025. This engineering internship role will provide the opportunity to immerse yourself in a collaborative team environment focused on the design and build of state-of-the-art durability and performance test systems for automotive customers.
Responsibilities- Contribute to engineering design, development, analysis, and support activities on new and existing MTS products.
- Engage in shorter duration engineering projects that provide a learning experience for the student, including new design or updates to existing products in a development, troubleshooting, or continuation engineering environment.
- Work collaboratively with a manager and mentor to complete a project from start to finish during the summer.
- Rising junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Maintain a strong academic record, with a GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Develop excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Show eagerness to learn, with a proactive and positive attitude.
- Possess leadership and teamwork capabilities, as demonstrated through extracurricular, academic, or other experiences.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Must be able to work onsite at our Eden Prairie, MN location.
- Previous relevant internship experience is preferred.
