At Stanford University, we are seeking a talented and innovative Strategic Digital Engagement Manager to oversee the digital presence for the Stanford Athletics and Stanford Men's or Women's Basketball digital platforms. This role will focus on developing and implementing comprehensive content strategies, managing social media channels, and working with other External Relations units to optimize business objectives through digital platforms, including GoStanford.com and the Stanford Athletics Mobile App.

About the Role
  • Oversight of digital strategy for Stanford Athletics and Men's Basketball or Women's Basketball, depending on expertise
  • Development of annual content strategies for assigned sports
  • Management of social media channels (X, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube) for assigned sports
  • Creation of branded multimedia content in accordance with brand guidelines
  • Contribution to the development and management of short-form video content for Stanford Athletics' TikTok and YouTube Shorts
  • Strategy execution for the Stanford Athletics Mobile App, focusing on user acquisition, content curation, and driving fan engagement
  • Assistance with day-to-day management and upkeep of GoStanford.com
  • Evaluation of digital strategies through analytics reports across all assigned digital platforms
Requirements
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite software, specifically Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the fast-changing landscape of digital media, particularly in sports and entertainment
  • Experience in managing digital platforms for a Division-I football program preferred, but not mandatory
  • Extensive functional knowledge of social media platforms and their respective audiences
  • Experience with content creation in graphic design, photography, or videography is a plus
  • Good interpersonal skills, judgment, and diplomacy required to interact effectively with and provide customer service to a broad audience
  • Ability to work independently as well as effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Comfortability with tight deadlines and ability to answer to multiple constituents and prioritize projects, including working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Self-motivated individual who takes initiative on new projects and proactively identifies new opportunities
  • Strong organizational and communication (both written and verbal) skills
Benefits and Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $81,309 to $82,000 per annum. As a member of the Stanford University community, you will have access to a comprehensive range of benefits and rewards, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
