SSM Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for interpreting and reporting test results, performing routine and complex technical laboratory analyses, and maintaining the accuracy of equipment and reagents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a full range of laboratory tests, from simple blood tests to complex tests, and interpret results to communicate findings to physicians.
- Escalate unusual, critical, or abnormal results to ensure timely and accurate diagnosis and treatment.
- Operate complex electronic equipment, computers, and precision instruments to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist providers in choosing appropriate lab tests and perform and evaluate quality control procedures.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Stay up-to-date with new developments in the field by reviewing current literature and attending meetings and seminars.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree or equivalent years of experience and education.
- No experience required, but a strong foundation in laboratory science and technology is essential.
