Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our team at Highland Park Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. As a key member of our care team, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nurses, ensuring the highest level of comfort, dignity, and well-being for our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, promoting independence and maintaining their dignity.
  • Observe and Report Changes: Monitor residents' conditions and report any changes or concerns to licensed nurses, ensuring timely interventions and adjustments to care plans.
  • Support Interdisciplinary Team: Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to develop and implement comprehensive care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.
  • Maintain a Clean and Safe Environment: Adhere to infection control procedures and maintain a clean and organized workspace, promoting a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Document Resident Information: Accurately record resident data, including medical history, medications, and treatment plans, ensuring seamless communication among healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • Education and Training: Must be a graduate of an approved Nursing Assistant Training Program or be eligible to enter such a program and pass a state-approved competency test within 120 days of employment.
  • Experience: Prior experience as a care provider is preferred, but not required.
  • Skills and Qualities: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrate empathy and compassion, and exhibit a strong work ethic and reliability.
