Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Regional Cancer Care Associates. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with patient exams, lab tests, and procedures
  • Obtain and document patient vital signs, height, and weight
  • Prepare patients for examinations, including undressing and dressing
  • Transport patients safely using wheelchairs and other equipment
  • Ensure exam rooms and physician offices are stocked with medical supplies and equipment
  • Communicate patient changes and concerns to physicians, nurse practitioners, or registered nurses
  • Follow emergency procedures, including CPR if necessary
  • Assist with bone marrow biopsies, lumbar punctures, and other surgical and non-surgical procedures
  • Phone in prescription refills under direct supervision
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Current Certification from an accredited program for Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant (desired)
  • Current CPR certification
