At Johns Hopkins HealthCare, we are seeking a dedicated Patient Clerical Assistant to join our critical care unit team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional clerical and receptionist support to our patients and their families.

This role is ideal for individuals who possess strong communication skills, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role
  • We are seeking a part-time Evening shift worker, working 3pm-11:30pm, 2 days per week, with weekends and holidays required.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of healthcare professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care. As a Patient Clerical Assistant, you will be responsible for performing various administrative tasks, including data entry, record-keeping, and communication with patients, families, and healthcare providers.

Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of experience interacting with the public is necessary.
  • You must be able to problem-solve, anticipate needs, and take initiative.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including sensitivity, maturity, and tact, are essential for effective communication with patients, family members, and co-workers.
  • You should be proficient in using a computer, including Epic, SAP, Transquest, and HillRom, following clear instructions and procedures.
  • Able to pass all hospital competencies required for the position.
  • Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $17.87 - $20.60 per hour, commensurate with equity and experience. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls.
