Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Volunteer Services Coordinator to join our team at Constellation Health Services. As a key member of our hospice care team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing volunteer program activities, ensuring that our patients and families receive the highest level of care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, orient, and supervise volunteers to provide direct patient care, administrative support, and bereavement services.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to establish volunteer needs and develop patient care plans.
  • Assign and coordinate volunteer activities, ensuring that volunteers are utilized effectively and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of volunteer hours, mileage, and activities.
  • Provide training and education to volunteers on documentation requirements and hospice philosophy.
  • Participate in quality assessment and performance improvement activities to ensure the highest level of care.
Requirements
  • College degree in human services or a related field.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in hospice care.
  • Ability to supervise, coordinate, and evaluate volunteer services.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
