About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at Sterling Engineering Inc.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing quality reviews of electrical designs for commercial and industrial projects. This role involves reviewing designs and programs to ensure they meet standards, identifying areas for improvement, and collaborating with designers to rectify issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough reviews of C&I projects using standard redline methods to ensure accuracy and adherence to client-specific standards.
  • Prioritize projects based on scheduled deadlines, ensuring timely completion and delivery of high-quality results.
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of Asset Suite 8/Intellio and its process, as well as familiarity with PoleForeman or other pole structural calculating software.
  • Perform design work on an as-needed basis for electric, gas, or fiber/telecom projects utilizing MicroStation or AutoCAD.
  • Collaborate with internal designers to share knowledge and expertise, helping to develop and support junior team members.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience working as a designer or C&I type electrical work, preferably with previous experience in QA reviewing.
  • Proficiency in MicroStation and Blubeam Revu is essential, with a strong understanding of CAD software and design principles.
  • An Associates or Bachelor's degree in CADD or an engineering-related field is strongly preferred.
