Job Overview:

Atrium Health Navicent The Medical Center - AI seeks a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join its team. As a key member of the inpatient acute care team, you will play a vital role in evaluating and treating patients with swallowing and/or cognitive deficits.

About the Job:

This is a 13-week assignment with a guaranteed 40 hours per week. You will work primarily indoors, occasionally outdoors, and will be required to lift patients, equipment, or supplies up to 20 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.

Key Responsibilities:

* Evaluate, plan, direct, and administer programs of Speech Language Pathology in an inpatient acute level setting upon physician referral.
* Plan and conduct programs to restore function, prevent disability, and help patients achieve maximum independence.
* Provide direct therapy services to patients requiring service seven days a week, including holidays.
* Gather and interpret data from medical records, physician reports, and patient/family input.
* Document evaluations, tests, progress notes, treatment notes, attendance records, education, outcomes, discharge notes, and charges.

Requirements:

* Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
* Required state license for Speech Language Pathology
* BLS (AHA or ARC) certification
