Surgical Care Nurse Leader

About the RoleThis position requires a skilled and compassionate nurse who can lead by example and provide top-notch care to patients of all ages. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating surgical patient care, as well as maintaining a sterile environment and collaborating with the healthcare team. A successful candidate will possess strong communication skills, flexibility in various surgical settings, and a commitment to upholding our organization's values of respect, integrity, and inclusivity.
Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive assessments on all patients and develop age-specific plans of care
- Anticipate and provide equipment and supplies in a timely manner
- Create and maintain a sterile field using principles of aseptic practice
- Monitor and control the OR Suite environment, including temperature, humidity, and sensory levels
- Handle, transport, store, prepare, and administer medications and solutions safely and in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures
- Licensed by the State of Tennessee
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
- Previous surgery experience
- BLS within 90 days of hire
