At the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, we are seeking a highly skilled Public Health Physician to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of public health programs that impact millions of people.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing medical expertise in the planning, implementation, and analysis of scientific research studies. They will also serve as a liaison with various stakeholders, including government agencies, non-profit organizations, and private sector entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct epidemiological studies to identify causes and sources of disease outbreaks
  • Develop and implement strategies to prevent and control diseases
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and conduct research studies
  • Serve as a liaison with external partners to achieve public health objectives

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an accredited institution. They must also have at least 1 year of supervised experience providing direct service in a clinical setting. In addition, they must hold a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.

Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $208,000 - $348,000 per annum, based on location and experience. The CDC is a federal agency that participates in the USCIS Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify). Direct deposit is required, and a one-year probationary period may be required.
