About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse II- M5: Vascular Surgery to join our team at Albany Medical Center. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility with a team of dedicated professionals.

Job Summary

The Clinical Nurse II- M5: Vascular Surgery will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, procedures, and special tests, and documenting treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implementing physician orders and administering medications in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Starting IVs, performing treatments, procedures, and special tests as ordered by physicians.
  • Documenting treatment and maintaining accurate records.
  • Assessing and evaluating patient needs, developing and implementing individualized plans of care.
  • Collaborating with the nursing team to create a comprehensive plan of care for all patients.
  • Providing education and support to patients and families on disease management, medication administration, and other health-related topics.
Requirements
  • A graduate degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
  • A valid New York State Registered Nurse license.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • Minimum 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
  • Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $69,917 - $75,113 based on the location and requirements of the role. The benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as paid time off and retirement savings plan.
