Fleet Equipment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Equipment Specialist to join our team at US Foods, Inc. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our fleet equipment.
Job SummaryThe Fleet Equipment Specialist will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of diesel-powered vehicles, including tractors and trailers. This includes performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical issues on diesel-powered vehicles
- Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
- Diagnose and repair electrical and hydraulic systems
- Ensure all work is done in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed
- Collaborate with other maintenance team members to ensure efficient workflow and effective problem-solving
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 3+ years of experience in heavy-duty diesel mechanics or a related field
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, and suspension systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Physical stamina to lift and move heavy equipment
