Job Summary

As an Emergency Care Specialist in the Critical Care department at UK Chandler Hospital, you will provide high-quality care to patients with complex illnesses and injuries. This role requires a strong focus on delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care, prioritizing the needs of each individual.

Responsibilities
  • Assessing, documenting, planning, implementing, teaching, developing, and evaluating a comprehensive nursing plan of care for patients in critical condition.
  • Providing direct patient care, ensuring patient satisfaction, and training Nursing Care Technicians (Nursing Assistants) in their duties.
  • Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to enhance communication and improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent experience.
  • At least 1 year of RN experience, preferably in a critical care setting.
  • Knowledge of Maslow's eight Basic Human Needs, Gordon's Functional Health Patterns Framework, and Swanson's Caring model.
  • Superb direct patient care and critical thinking skills.
  • Basic computer navigation skills and working knowledge of the internet.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is around $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
