Overview:

Nesco Resource is a leading provider of staffing services, and we are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team.

About the Role:

This 2nd shift position is responsible for ensuring the quality of our products meets strict standards and complies with food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting Raw Materials and Finished Products: Perform thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintaining Accurate Records: Document findings and maintain accurate records of quality checks and production data.
  • Collaborating with Production Staff: Work closely with production staff to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensuring Food Safety Protocols: Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to food safety protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Conducting Quality Tests: Conduct tests on product samples for weight, dimensions, texture, and other quality parameters.
  • Reporting Deviations: Report any deviations or non-conformances to the Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Supporting Audits and Quality Improvement Initiatives: Assist with audits and the implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintaining a Clean Inspection Area: Maintain a clean and organized inspection area, ensuring compliance with company policies.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience in food manufacturing or quality inspection is preferred.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP, and GMPs is a plus.
  • Skill Set: Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Education: Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
