Job Title: Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Life Care Center of Richland. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life.

Job Summary:

The Occupational Therapist will provide direct rehab care to patients in accordance with physician referrals and Life Care standards. This includes developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, conducting assessments, and evaluating patient progress.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement occupational treatment plans for patients
  • Establish, assess, and modify realistic, measurable, timely, and functional goals
  • Oversee and evaluate care given by OTAs, Rehab Aides, and students
  • Chart appropriately and timely
  • Utilize therapy software appropriately and accurately
  • Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
  • Assist in the evacuation of patients
  • Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment
  • Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team
Requirements:
  • NBCOT certified upon hire, but renewal is optional going forward
  • Graduate of an accredited program in occupational therapy (BSOT or MSOT)
  • Currently registered/licensed in applicable State. Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment.
  • One (1) year experience in post acute care or related setting preferred
  • CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.
