IT Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team at Resource Management Concepts, Inc. (RMC). As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our customers and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and troubleshoot IT infrastructure end-point devices, including computers, printers, phones, and audio visual equipment.
- Perform server and workstation installations, technology refreshes, and hardware upgrades.
- Install and configure authorized software on workstations and maintain system integrity.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, and perform system upgrades as required.
- Support the tracking and implementation of Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs) and assist in artifact development and continuous monitoring activities.
- Maintain end-point data backups and ensure data integrity.
- Participate in the patch management process and create and maintain documentation.
- Lead and assist with projects as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent GED is required.
- 1-3 years of experience providing end-user IT support services preferred.
- Solid understanding of RedHat Linux and experience with installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux Servers/Virtualization (RHEL 6, 7 & 8, SLES).
- Account and Group administration (AD Integration, LDAP) and patch and package administration.
- Configuration and administration of LVM and using package managers like YUM (Red Hat/CentOS), or DNF (Red Hat/CentOS) to install, update, and remove software packages.
- Troubleshooting complex, non-routine MacOS incidents and maintaining established IT Security protocols pertaining to macOS, Microsoft Windows, and various 3rd Party applications.
- Periodic upgrade and patching for macOS and various 3rd Party applications associated with the macOS.
- JAMF infrastructure health.
- The selected applicant must have a DoD 8570/5239 IAT Level 2 Certification (Security + CE) or IAT Level 3 Certification (CASP or CISSP).
- Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team in researching data and developing analytical techniques and methodologies.
- An INTERIM SECRET clearance (DOD) is required to start. A TOP SECRET Clearance will be required.
