Surgical Technologist Role: Transforming Patient Care

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Prisma Health, where you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for assisting surgeons and medical staff during procedures, maintaining aseptic techniques, and ensuring the safe handling of instruments and equipment.
About the Job
- This is a full-time position working night shifts in our Operating Room department.
- The ideal candidate will have completed a Surgical Technology program or have equivalent training in the U.S. Armed Forces.
- A background in medical terminology and basic life support skills is also preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room for cases by collecting necessary supplies and instruments according to Surgeon Preference Card.
- Assist the surgical team during operative procedures, ensuring correct counts of instruments, needles, and sponges.
- Clean and prepare rooms between procedures, maintaining a sterile environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
Requirements
- Surgical Technologist Certification (CST) from NBSTSA or NCCT is highly desired.
- Maintain surgical technology certification through continuing education and professional development.
- Ability to complete 15 hours of mandatory ST education annually.
Salary Information
Our estimated salary range for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This figure includes hourly wages and benefits.
