Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Supplier Quality Engineer II to join our team at Medtronic. As a key member of our supply chain quality team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our suppliers deliver high-quality parts, materials, and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Qualify suppliers according to company standards and administer a Certified Supplier Program to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor parts from acquisition through the manufacturing cycle and communicate and resolve supplier-related problems as they occur.
  • Develop and prioritize an auditing schedule to ensure that designated suppliers are audited regularly and that good manufacturing practices (GMP) and quality standards are met.
  • Evaluate suppliers' internal functions to assess their performance and provide feedback on their operation.

Requirements:

  • Baccalaureate degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Lead-auditor training and certification (ISO 13485, etc.)
  • Experience with Validation (IQ, OQ, PQ, TMV)
  • Knowledge and experience with manufacturing assembly processes and inspection/testing methods
  • Knowledge of DRM, Lean, and 6 Sigma principles
  • Excellent organization, planning, technical writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Thorough knowledge and experience with NPI Processes
  • Knowledge of GD&T
