About the Role

We are seeking a qualified LPN Nurse Unit Coordinator to assist in maintaining resident care standards by supervising and directing activities of subordinate nurses engaged in quality assurance, infection control, and utilization review activities. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and direct subordinate nurses to ensure adherence to quality care standards
  • Receive physicians' instructions regarding resident care and transmit orders as needed
  • Oversee delegation of simple nursing and therapeutic procedures to other professionals and paraprofessional associates
  • Maintain regular patient rounds to assess residents' physical conditions and behaviors, evaluate the quality of care provided, and document treatment and nursing observations
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology and physician orders
  • Excellent telephone, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational and filing skills
  • Basic computer skills required for electronic documentation
  • The ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
  • Patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude toward the elderly and disabled

Estimated Salary Range

$65,000 - $80,000 per year based on experience and location
