Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Project Electrical Engineer to join our Albany office team. As a mid-level engineer, you will be responsible for designing, producing, and planning aspects of various projects under the supervision of a Senior Electrical Engineer/Project Manager.

This role is perfect for an ambitious and dedicated self-starter with 5-8 years of experience in the A/E/C environment. You will have a strong background in designing K-12/higher educational and other building engineering projects. Additionally, you should have experience working in teams with professionals from different disciplines and a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will contribute to multiple projects from conceptual design through construction closeout, ensuring timely completion and meeting quality control requirements.
  • You will design building engineering systems, including building power, lighting, low-voltage systems, and photovoltaic project systems.
  • You will produce construction documents and technical specifications for public bidding, adhering to production schedules and deadlines.
  • You will work collaboratively with in-house design teams, outside consultants, Construction Managers, and client representatives.
  • You will ensure the highest level of client satisfaction by meeting quality control requirements, cost budgets, and time deadlines.
  • You will contribute to growing our Albany practice through new business development initiatives, including assistance with new client outreach, follow-up, and marketing.
Requirements
  • You hold a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • You are a Professional Engineer or nearing completion of the Engineer in Training Program (EIT).
  • You have at least 5 years of engineering experience in an office environment.
  • You possess strong design and technical skills, with the ability to understand and contribute to project workflow, work within established budgets and timelines, and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • You have proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office, as well as excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
  • You have a track record of successful project delivery in the local A/E/C industry, particularly in the Capital District, Hudson Valley, Mohawk Valley, and Central New York regions.
