Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in the healthcare team at Sentara, providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals. As an LPN, you will have the opportunity to work in various clinical settings, including hospitals, home health, hospice, and medical groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Triage and verify medical information to ensure accurate patient care
  • Provide direct patient care, including medication administration and implementation of nursing interventions
  • Work closely with doctors and other team members to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in patient education and support to promote holistic care
Requirements
  • Active LPN license in North Carolina or Virginia
  • Nursing diploma or degree
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • De-escalation and physical intervention training (dependent on specialty)
