Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Hardware Design Lead to join our team at FREEDOM SURVEILLANCE LLC.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a skilled engineer to lead the coordination and technical leadership of electronic hardware strategies and electrical design and development of customer products.

Responsibilities
  • Design Leadership: Provide technical direction and oversight for the design and documentation of electronic hardware for customer products, ensuring alignment with both customer requirements and manufacturing needs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Mechanical Design to develop test fixtures, tools, and equipment.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform evaluations of quality measurements on electronic designs in accordance with established verification plans.
  • Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation related to electronic design projects.
  • Research and Development: Participate in research and development initiatives for new design methods and tools.
  • Sustaining Engineering: Work with Sustaining Engineering teams to develop products that leverage manufacturing and test processes.
  • Communication: Communicate technical challenges and collaborate with peers to develop and implement solutions.
  • Project Management: Develop and execute project plans, providing regular status updates to leadership.
Requirements
  • Education: A 4-year engineering or technical degree (EE or ME) preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by senior management.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing, developing electronic hardware and software.
  • Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; effective interpersonal, multitasking, organization, and prioritization skills; high attention to detail; discretion, confidentiality, independent judgment, and professionalism; ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance; working knowledge of productivity tools, including Microsoft Office products; knowledge of schematic capture tools; familiarity with advanced technologies and applications; effective use of lab equipment; strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound technical decisions.
