We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Recovery Coach to join our team at United Summit Center. As a Recovery Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with substance use disorders in their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with patients to identify treatment needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to patients, including regular check-ins and outreach.
- Collaborate with treatment teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
- Link patients to available resources, including continuing education, safe housing, and recovery supports.
- Serve as a liaison to patients' formal and informal supports, including family members, treatment providers, and other supporters.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of state or nationally recognized Peer Recovery Support Specialist Certification training.
- West Virginia state and Federal criminal background check required.
- Bureau of Medical Services Peer Recovery Support Specialist Certification or WVCBAPP certification within one year of employment.
- Valid Driver's License.
- WVCBAPP Peer Recovery Certification.
- Certificate of completion of the CCAR Recovery Coaching in the Emergency Department.
- Active participation in the recovery for two or more years and current active attendance at community recovery meetings.
The Recovery Coach will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, providing support to patients in various settings, including the Emergency Department and community-based settings. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment, communicate effectively with patients and families, and maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Skills and Abilities- Knowledge of treatment resources, including a working knowledge of the 12-Step Fellowships.
- Ability to comply with WVU Medicine, WVU Research Corporation, UHA, and Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry safety procedures.
- Completion of HIPAA training and compliance.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families.
