We are seeking a skilled Medical Navigator Specialist to join our team in Norwood, Ohio. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to our mission of providing top-notch medical services.

Job Summary

This full-time position involves working as part of our administrative team, ensuring seamless communication between patients, doctors, and other healthcare professionals. As a Medical Navigator Specialist, you will be responsible for Advanced Prostate Cancer Clinic (APCAC) patients, handling referrals, precertification, copay assistance, and scheduling appointments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage APCAC referrals, ensuring timely follow-up with scheduled appointments.
  • Precertify prostate cancer drugs to ensure uninterrupted treatment.
  • Assist patients with copay assistance programs to minimize financial burdens.
  • Foster strong relationships with patients by following their progress in the advanced prostate cancer clinic.
  • Schedule appointments, bloodwork, genetic testing, and scans (bone scan, CAT scan, PET, or MRI) to facilitate comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate records in the Prostate Cancer database and spreadsheets for advanced prostate cancer patients.
Requirements
  • Valid Ohio LPN or RN license is mandatory.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential for building trust with patients.
  • You must be self-motivated, well-organized, and able to multitask while working independently.
  • Previous experience with Allscripts and EMR systems is highly desirable.
