About the Role

Hub Group is seeking a highly skilled Logistics Capacity Specialist to join our team. This position plays a critical role in providing capacity solutions to support our customer's truckload shipping needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop strong relationships with carriers to ensure high levels of service and communication, ensuring seamless execution of customer shipments.
  • SOURCE daily capacity using multiple resources (phone/email, posting boards) to effectively execute customer shipments, meeting tight deadlines and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Manage daily communication with carrier base, including rate negotiations, shipment requirements, and load tendering, resulting in increased efficiency and reduced costs.
  • Obtain and enter carrier quotes and capacity into the system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for informed decision-making.
  • Initiate tracking integrations (Macropoint, EDI, Project 44) to streamline operations and improve visibility, enhancing overall supply chain performance.
  • Develop strategic relationships with carriers by identifying their capacity needs and matching those needs with consistent opportunities, driving long-term success and growth.
  • Ensure compliance with Truck Brokerage Rules of Engagement, maintaining high standards of ethics and professionalism.
  • Be adaptable and willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed, demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and excellence.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or management, with a solid understanding of transportation and logistics principles.
  • Strong knowledge of brokerage markets and cyclical market dynamics, allowing for informed decision-making and effective strategy development.
  • Experience with DAT, Internet Truck Stop, and other predictive market resources, enabling data-driven insights and optimization.
  • Proficiency in operating LinkedIn Sales Navigator, AS300 programs, Oracle, Microsoft Word, Excel, and OneNote, streamlining tasks and improving productivity.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work autonomously on accounts from end to end, taking initiative and driving results.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off. The estimated salary for this role is approximately $72,500.
