Job Summary:

The Caregiver Coordinator reports to the Wellness Director and Wellness Manager, providing exceptional care services and support to residents based on their individualized service plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assists residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, hygiene, and mobility as needed.
  • Maintains awareness of each resident's physical and mental health status, promptly reporting any changes to the Wellness Director.
  • Manages medical supply inventory and assists with ordering when necessary.
  • Supports shift coverage during unexpected call-outs.
  • Develops and maintains task assignments for the Wellness Director.
  • Facilitates new staff orientations and onboarding processes.
  • Responds to resident emergencies, provides first aid, and arranges for follow-up medical attention if required.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and comfortable environment for residents.
  • Responds promptly to assistance calls and attends to resident needs efficiently.
  • Provides laundry and clothing assistance upon request.
  • Assists with meal selection, service, and feeding as assigned.
  • Participates in activity programs as scheduled.
  • Maintains accurate records according to established policies.
  • Supports file management as needed.
  • Completes a minimum of 6 hours of in-service education annually.
Compliance and Safety:
  • Follows emergency procedures rigorously.
  • Understands and adheres to all safety protocols.
  • Effective communication is essential for success in this role.
  • Promptly informs the Wellness Director or Manager of any changes in a resident's physical or mental health status.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • A current State Nurse's Aide registration is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience working with seniors is highly valued.
  • The ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as pushing, bending, and lifting up to 60 pounds, is essential.
  • Positive working relationships with residents, families, peers, and staff are crucial.
  • Good physical and emotional health, free from communicable diseases, is a must.
Physical Demands:
  • Bending and reaching are necessary components of this role.
  • Pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 60 pounds may be required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods is necessary.
  • The use of a Hoyer Lift may be required.
Working Conditions:
  • Weekends, holidays, and non-assigned shifts may be required.
  • Extended hours (up to 16 hours per day) may be necessary.
  • Exposure to infectious waste, diseases, and conditions is possible.
  • Hostile or emotionally upset residents due to mental status may require special handling.
  • Background checks, drug tests, and random drug screenings may be required.
  • Picture taking and image use in social media or community advertising may be necessary.
  • Video recording devices installed by families in residents' apartments may be used.

The estimated salary for this position is between $40,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. The Mansions at Alpharetta offers a dynamic work environment and opportunities for professional growth.
