Job Description

We are seeking an Aerospace Software Engineer for Aeronautics and Data Science to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, aerospace engineering, and software development.

The successful candidate will work on designing and developing innovative software solutions for the Aeronautics directorate at NASA. This will involve working with cross-functional teams to conduct research, development, and evaluation of advanced air traffic control and management automation concepts.

The role will also involve coordinating data management strategy and architecture, including identifying data collection needs, data models, and requirements. Additionally, the candidate will interact with senior researchers, customers, and other project engineers to develop and execute research plans.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Data Science: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, and SQL. Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
  • Aerospace Engineering: Strong understanding of aerospace engineering principles, including aerodynamics, structures, and propulsion systems.
  • Software Development: Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum. Knowledge of cloud-based platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience: Five or more years of experience in data science, aerospace engineering, and software development.

Salary
