Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Bariatric APP Physician to join our esteemed Bariatric Surgery team. In this role, you will be integral in providing comprehensive care to our patients, utilizing your expertise to support their journey toward healthier lives through weight loss surgery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care: Conduct thorough evaluations and follow-ups for patients undergoing bariatric procedures. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and provide pre-operative and post-operative care.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including surgeons, dietitians, and psychologists to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Education: Educate patients and their families about bariatric procedures, lifestyle changes, and post-operative care to support their long-term success.
  • Innovation: Participate in clinical research and contribute to the development of new protocols and practices in bariatric care.
  • Quality Improvement: Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and optimize the efficiency of the bariatric program.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Advanced practice degree (Master's or Doctorate) in Physician Assistant Studies or Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Certification: Board certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) with a focus on bariatric or related fields.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in bariatric or related surgical fields is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong clinical skills with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach to care.
