The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) is seeking a motivated professional to support the Government Engineer Council and the Committee on Professional Career Growth. This role will play a vital part in developing and delivering value to ASCE government engineer members.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serving as staff contact for the Government Engineers Council, its constituent committee, Peer Review for Public Agencies Committee, and their constituents, subcommittees, and project teams, providing technical and administrative support and guidance.
  • Facilitating collaboration and communication with other ASCE entities and staff, informing and equipping them to accomplish goals and strategies.
  • Supporting the committees in accomplishing their goals and strategies.
  • Administering public agency peer reviews, recruiting reviewers and tracking their training and qualifications, preparing proposals and contracts, scheduling, coordinating, and administering peer reviews.
  • Identifying and promoting volunteer opportunities unique to government engineers, serving as staff contact for the Committee on Professional Career Growth, planning the logistics of programs including schedule, correspondence, and virtual/in-person event management.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A two-year or four-year degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 2 - 4 years corporate or association/non-profit or community organization experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in using web collaboration, survey, and scheduling tools.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Adeptness at building and maintaining relationships with diverse groups of people.
  • Sound judgment, confidentiality, and discretion.

This position offers a salary range of approximately $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience, and hybrid work from home flexibility.
