Overview
Desert Valley Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare Foundation, is an accredited 148-bed acute care hospital located in Southern California. As a Respiratory Care Practitioner, you will be part of a team dedicated to providing high-quality patient care and achieving clinical excellence.
Responsibilities
Under the direction of the medical director and cardiopulmonary director, you will be responsible for performing respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician. Your emphasis will be on assessing, planning, implementing, and documenting care, considering age and population-specific needs and requirements of the patient.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need a State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License, Current BCLS (AHA) certificate, and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC). Two years of experience as an RCP is preferred, along with ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications. An Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree is also preferred.
