Rig Floor Operator - A Key Role in Our Drilling Operations
About the JobWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rig Floor Operator to join our team at Plants & Goodwin, Inc. As a key member of our drilling operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our workover rig.
ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities as a Rig Floor Operator will include:
- Daily operation of the workover rig and support equipment
- Assisting in the mobilization and rigging up and down of the workover rig
- Operating the tongs and slips to connect and disconnect drill pipe, tubulars, casing, and drill bits or tools
- Performing all maintenance of the equipment and physical space of the drill floor
- Rig up and down procedures, nipple up and down, and care of the B.O.P. system
- Performing housekeeping activities on the workover floor, including washing, chipping, and painting
- Participating in JSA and tailgate meetings as scheduled
- Assisting in preparing tools necessary for job
- Washing of trucks and equipment as needed
- Assisting in the day-to-day lubrication and minor adjustments of equipment
- Assisting in the daily inspection and maintenance of equipment
To be successful as a Rig Floor Operator, you will need:
- A valid state-issued driver's license, CDL, or the ability to obtain one
- The ability to perform manual labor required to operate rig equipment
- The ability to comply with DOT Regulations and Health & Safety requirements
- The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to work a flexible schedule
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
We offer a competitive salary range of $19.00 - $22.00 per hour, plus additional benefits, including:
- $25.00 per day rig bonus
- $55.00 per day per diem

- Company-sponsored CDL Program for eligible employees
- $150.00 Work Boot Allowance
