Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse II to join our team. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a team of professionals, and collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services.

Responsibilities
  • Assign, coordinate, and monitor the work of unit personnel to ensure patients receive necessary care and daily objectives are met
  • Perform high-level patient assessments and assign competent staff accordingly
  • Provide reports to the Nursing Director on critically ill patients or unusual events
  • Enhance productivity by assessing workload and capabilities of individuals, utilizing personnel efficiently
  • Adjust staff assignments for unscheduled absences or special needs
  • Arrange for staff replacement and overtime authorization as needed
Nursing Process

Demonstrate competency in key functions of the Registered Nurse Clinical II position description

Communications
  • Develop and maintain open communication with nursing staff, physicians, and other care providers
  • Build and maintain constructive relationships throughout the hospital
  • Collaborate with the Nursing Director for effective scheduling of staff
  • Report attendance and punctuality issues to the Nursing Director
  • Provide input for performance evaluations
  • Report online occurrence reports requiring immediate attention
Requirements
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Rhode Island or licensure through the Nurse Licensure Compact agreement
  • Graduate from a school of nursing and licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum of 6 months to one-year experience in an acute healthcare setting
  • BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.

Location and Work Schedule
