Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse - Hospital Care Specialist to join our team at Confluence Health. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the surgical department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Admit patients prior to procedures, ensuring they are ready and their charts are in order.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, notifying relevant personnel of any changes in health status.
  • Start IVs and administer pre-operative medications as ordered.
  • Monitor surgical schedules and keep patients and families informed.
  • Receive patients into the Recovery Room, performing thorough assessments and attending to their specific needs.
  • Administer medications and IV fluids per MD orders.
  • Order post-procedure labs and radiology work per MD orders.
  • Keep families informed of recovery periods and any delays.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (NLN standard).
  • Active or Interim Washington State Registered Nurse License, required by start date.
  • Basic computer skills related to Windows navigation, mouse usage, keyboarding, email communication, and password management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CAPA or CPAN Perianesthesia Certification.
  • Preoperative and/or postoperative nursing experience.
  • Experience using an electronic medical record.
  • Experience utilizing barcode scanning.
