Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and passionate special education teacher to join our team at ProCare Therapy. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with students, teachers, and families to provide personalized support and help students achieve their full potential.
Salary Information
The hourly pay rate for this position ranges from $35 to $45 per hour, based on experience.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Create tailored learning plans that cater to the unique needs and abilities of each student.
Provide Direct Instruction and SupportDeliver engaging and interactive lessons to students with diverse learning styles and needs.
Collaborate with Teachers and FamiliesWork closely with classroom teachers and families to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
Monitor Student Progress and Adjust InstructionRegularly assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet changing needs and goals.
Manage Behavior Plans and AccommodationsImplement behavior management strategies and provide necessary accommodations to support students' emotional and social development.
Communicate Effectively with Parents and StaffMaintain open and regular communication with parents, staff, and administrators regarding student progress and achievements.
Qualifications and Skills
- Valid CT Special Education Certification
Hold a current and valid special education certification in Connecticut.
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education or Related FieldPossess a degree in special education or a related field, such as education, psychology, or child development.
Experience Working with Students with DisabilitiesHave a minimum of 1+ years of experience working with students with disabilities in a school setting.
Strong Communication, Organizational, and Problem-Solving SkillsDemonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage multiple responsibilities and priorities.
