About the Role

This is a dynamic opportunity for an experienced Reliability Engineer to join our team and drive improvement in plant reliability. As a Reliability Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for investigating and resolving plant reliability issues, utilizing World Class Manufacturing (WCM) techniques and principles.

  • You will work closely with the maintenance department to rationalize, plan, schedule, and execute maintenance activities to improve sustainable plant reliability.
  • You will provide leadership in implementing and supporting plant process modifications for Roofing and Granule operations as required.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Identify new opportunities and solutions with cost/benefit analysis and make recommendations to improve efficiencies.
  2. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement sustainable countermeasures on losses related to downtime.
  3. Analyze and stratify accurate data and information from records to prepare reports, statistics, etc. in support of continuous improvement of reliability.
  4. Revises and maintains existing processes; develops and implements WCM initiatives, manages and guides contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
  5. Leads and participates in Yellow Belt Breakdown projects following the WCM methodologies to become certified in the Reliability pillar.
  6. Ensures full documentation of all projects and systems to WCM, Technical Office, and/or Project Management Office (PMO) standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of applied professional experience in a continuous process manufacturing environment.
  • 5 years' experience as a Reliability Engineer or similar (preferred).
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities and the ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
  • Flexible and open-minded with good written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong influencing skills needed to motivate change management.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated utilization of Continuous Improvement tools and methodologies.
  • Experience working with a CMMS (SAP preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with P&ID, Equipment Layout Drawings, design optimization & troubleshooting.
  • Ability to diagnose and prioritize opportunities in areas of savings, throughput improvement, & yield improvement.
  • Working knowledge of PM technologies (vibration analysis, infrared thermography, oil analysis, ultrasonic), drafting software (AutoCAD LT), and process engineering software.
  • CMRP Certification or equivalent (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional).
