Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Information Security Analyst 2 to join our team at Hanscom Federal Credit Union. As a member of our Information Security Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our organization's assets.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and address security alerts in a timely manner to mitigate cybersecurity threats using our Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system.
  • Assess and mitigate security risks that impact information assets and recommend appropriate security controls and measures to prevent security breaches.
  • Ensure compliance with implemented policies by monitoring our enterprise data loss prevention (DLP) system and safeguarding against unauthorized disclosure.
  • Interface with business leaders on security initiatives and collaborate with IT and development teams to assess security requirements and ensure controls are implemented according to security policies.
  • Monitor and evaluate security configurations and baselines of infrastructure assets to maintain industry best practices and compliance with security operations and vulnerability management.
  • Evaluate user access requirements for organizational applications and external access to ensure the protection of unauthorized access to infrastructure assets.
  • Participate in security audits and investigations as required by regulators and external auditors to ensure necessary controls and processes are implemented to uphold confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our organization's business obligations.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in IT security, IT compliance, or IT risk management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in information security and systems monitoring, familiarity with IT Security software, hardware, DLP, and Incident Response.
  • Specific working knowledge and experience in preferred work environments including SIEM, Data Loss Prevention, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview, Vulnerability Scanning and Patch Management, Virus & Malware Protection, Advance Threat Protection, Network Fundamentals, Firewall Rule Assessment, NIST CSF, and CIS Framework.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Highly organized and able to work independently.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and perform well under deadlines.

Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. This figure is based on industry standards and comparable job openings in the area.
