Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Dialysis Therapy Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide safe and effective dialysis therapy for patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, test, and operate hemodialysis machines for patient treatments.
• Obtain and document necessary pre- and post-treatment vital signs and weight for each patient.
• Evaluate vascular access pre-treatment and perform vascular access cannulation.
• Evaluate intradialytic problems and provide intervention as prescribed by physician order or as directed.
• Monitor patients' response to dialysis therapy.
• Evaluate patient prior to termination of venous access and discontinues dialysis treatment according to established procedures.
• Reports any significant information and/or change in patient condition directly to supervisor.
• Enter all treatment data into the designated clinical application in an accurate and timely manner.
• Collect, label, appropriately prepare, and store lab samples according to required laboratory specifications.
• Clean and disinfect dialysis machine surface, chair, equipment, and surrounding area between treatments according to facility policy.
• Assist other healthcare members in providing patient education.
• Prepare, organize, and efficiently use supplies and equipment to prevent waste.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or G.E.D. is required.
• Prior patient care experience in a hospital setting or a related facility is preferred but not required.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. Additional benefits include:
