Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Capitol Hill Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ultrasound technology and be able to perform high-quality exams with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct ultrasound examinations of patients as requested by referring physicians.
  • Select and operate ultrasound equipment to obtain diagnostic information.
  • Apply gel to patients' skin, apply probes, and monitor equipment to obtain high-quality images.
  • Process and review images to ensure they meet radiologists' requirements.
  • Prepare initial diagnoses by identifying abnormal conditions for review by radiologists.
  • Assist providers with invasive procedures using ultrasound equipment.
  • Maintain equipment and examination rooms, store film, and manage related supplies.
  • Prepare patient information files and submit reports on exam results.
Requirements:
  • Minimum one year of full-time experience as a sonographer required.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Completion of an ARDMS accredited or equivalent program in ultrasound technology required.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate - Ob-Gyn or Abdomen required.
