Job Summary

The Recreation Specialist position at Children's Rescue Fund is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of families in need. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting recreational activities that promote socialization, skill-building, and community engagement.

About the Role

This role requires a highly motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse populations, particularly families with children, and possess a strong understanding of the importance of recreation in promoting well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement recreational programs for clients and their children, including trip planning, activity coordination, and special events.
  • Build partnerships with external organizations to provide access to resources and opportunities for our clients.
  • Act as a liaison between our organization and community-based recreational resources, ensuring seamless collaboration and mutual support.
  • Maintain accurate records of program activities, participant engagement, and evaluation metrics.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., recreation, education, social work).
  • At least 6 months of experience working with families, particularly those experiencing homelessness or poverty.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and follow-through.
