L&D Travel Nurse RN Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced L&D Travel Nurse RN to join our team at Henrico Doctors Hospital. As a key member of our labor and delivery unit, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
About the Job:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience working in a hospital setting, with a strong background in labor and delivery. You will be responsible for assessing patients, developing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
In addition to your clinical expertise, you will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues. Your knowledge of fetal monitoring, pain management, and breastfeeding support will be valuable assets in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess and develop individualized care plans for patients in labor and delivery
* Provide high-quality nursing care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and conducting assessments
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care coordination
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure seamless care transitions
* Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to hospital policies and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
* Current compact license required
* Active BLS certification necessary
* NRP certification preferred
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in L&D
* Strong understanding of fetal heart monitoring, pain management, and breastfeeding support
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
